Champagne Collet Esprit Couture Brut

It’s that time of year; when we like to take a special care of the people special to us. For PlumpJack, those people are you, our dear customers. For those of you that are members of our Champagne Club, we have selected a very special bottle for the final release of the year.

The boutique house of Champagne Collet is located in the heart of Aÿ, one of Champagne’s 17 Grand Cru villages, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Since 1921, Champagne Collet has produced elegant and regionally distinctive cuvées from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards. Champagne Collet is a gastronomic wine, and every cuvée has been created to complement various fine dining and fine drinking experiences, whether served as an aperitif or paired with the most sophisticated of dishes.

This spirit of the “Roaring Twenties” lives on at Maison Collet today and is reflected in its rich heritage and its elegant, Art Deco-inspired visual identity. The elegant transparency of the Champagne Collet labels gives the brand a contemporary feel and is an expression of the brand’s sincerity and taste for innovation. This design universe has been applied to all the Champagne House’s creations, from the champagnes’ packaging, gift boxes and cases, to the decor of Villa Collet, our “brand home”.

Have it with your loved one(s) to toast during the holidays or to welcome the new year!

Joyeuses fêtes et bonne année !

La famille PlumpJack

A rare assemblage of 6 Crus were selected, including Grands Crus and Premiers Crus. 50% Pinot Noir, from the villages of Mailly-Champagne, Louvois, Tauxières-Mutry and Hautvillers, contributes structure, sweetness and suppleness to the wine. 40% Chardonnay, selected from the plots of the Grand Cru village of Louvois, offers contrast through its freshness, tonicity, elegance and finesse. 10% Pinot Meunier of the Cru of Ville-Dommange rounds and enriches the wine, to impart an elegant, fruity and airy character.

Chardonnay creates elegance and finesse, Pinot Noir adds depth and structure, and Pinot Meunier imparts freshness and rich fruit driven flavors. Sourced from ten Premier Cru and Grand Cru villages and aged for a minimum of eight years.

The wine pours in the flute with a rich, warm, yellow-copper color. Fine tiny bubbles are ascending with elegant finesse. This wine has floral aromas with subtle vanilla notes adjoined by a fruit-driven palate with notes of stone fruits and citrus. It has a refined, voluptuous texture with a prolonged finish of rare intensity.
