With a warm, dry spring hastening the onset of budbreak, the 2013 growing season began full of promise. The perfect weather persisted for flowering and fruit set, producing smaller canopies and small berries with intense concentration and firm tannins. With the exception of one heat spike in late June, the consistent, moderate temperatures, lack of major heat spikes, beautifully long season, and a very early harvest made for one of the most superb vintages in Napa Valley’s history. Our grapes were hand-picked between September 16th and 27th, fermented individually in small tanks, aged in 100% new French oak barrels and bottled after 23 months in barrel on August 28th, 2015.
On the nose, this wine is full of black fruit aromas enlivened by notes of black tea, savory spices, chaparral and tobacco leaf. In the mouth, the wine envelops the palate with super plush, fine-grained tannins and intense flavors of brambly fruit, coffee, and dark chocolate, overlying a core of superb minerality that continues into a lingering and deliciously satisfying finish. "Accendo's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is a surprisingly open-knit, succulent wine for the year. There is good lift and creaminess throughout, but less of the energy, depth and structural intensity that is such a signature of this vintage. Mocha, black cherry, spice, and tobacco are some of the notes that open up in the glass. This is one of the more supple, accessible 2013 Cabernets readers will come across."- Vinous
Established in 1971, Adelsheim is a family-owned and operated winery with estate vineyards located in Oregon's northern Willamette Valley. Over the past 41 years, the Adelsheim Vineyard estate has grown to include twelve exception vineyard sites throughout the Valley, totaling 237 acres. Company co-founder David Adelsheim has done work throughout the years to benefit both the Oregon and American wine industries: grape and wine research, wine labeling, industry education, and promotion. He is recognized for his "outstanding service" to the industry and has played a vital role in building the Oregon wine industry and establishing its reputation worldwide. Today, together with Winemaker David Paige who has been with Adelsheim since 2001, he leads a current generation of passionate staff devoted to leading the industry in crafting consistently transcendent wines.
With its broad array of origins and clones, this wine displays aromas of cocoa, pomegranate and raspberry on the nose and the palate as well as a light touch of nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice. True to our house style, it is elegantly textured with seamlessly integrated, silky, polished tannins.
The Central Coast bottling that is often more than 75% from our own vineyard. This wine showcases the forward heady stone fruit of this variety. It is fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel and bottled early.

"All of the 2011 Syrahs will be in bottle by the time you read this. The 2011 Syrah Reva Alban Estate Vineyard offers a cool-climate, pretty and perfumed style to go with lots of pepper, violets, iodine and dark fruits, with just a hint of vanilla and oak. Full-bodied, fresh and lively, with bright acidity and fine tannin, it's a Northern Rhone look-alike that will have 15-20 years of longevity. I had a great visit with John Alban, whose estate is located at the southern end of the Edna Valley and in one of the coolest AVAs in California. Despite this, he makes some of the most concentrated, rich and age-worthy reds and whites from the entire state... As for the 2011s, this was the coolest vintage on record in California and the smallest crop ever for Alban. The wines are distinctly different from past vintages, and dare I say, have plenty of northern Rhone-like character. Despite the freakishly cold weather, these are no lightweight wines and they have shocking concentration in the vintage. These will need short-term cellaring but I doubt they'll be as long-lived as the larger framed vintages. Nevertheless, they're beautiful, singular wines. As I said last year, it remains a mystery to me why no one else in the Edna Valley tries to make wines of the quality that is so often achieved here."- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Bright ruby red with garnet reflections. Fine, elegant, fruity, raspberry, strawberry and black cherries on the nose. Dry, warm, quite smooth, fresh, medium-bodied, rightly tannic, intense, quite persistent, fresh and fruity finish.

Purity of fruit accompanies concentrated texture and weight, with excellent balance and expression enhanced by two years in bottle prior to release.

The Pesquera Tinto's cherry red color reveals its youth and fruitiness. Its aspect is clean and appears to be glyceric. On the nose, the wine's intense bouquet reveals the best dark fruit marked by impeccable wood aromas. Hints of fallen leaves and spices such as vanilla. On the palate, the smooth entry becomes lush with abundant ripe tannins and an excellent balance between its acidity and heat. The presence of the well-integrated oak complements the fruit and spice beautifully to display a wine of great balance. A refined, long-lasting and elegant finish.
Pairs perfectly with roasted meats, farm yard poultry, veal stews as well as semi-cured cow and/or goat cheese.

"Based on Pinot Noir the NV Crémant d'Alsace Rosé Brut has a very pale color with just a hint of rosé. Very delicate fruit aroma with hints of red berries and flowers on the very subtle, fresh and elegant nose lead to a full-flavored and quite expressive palate. The wine is quite powerful and fruit intense but in a discreet and elegant way. Firmly structured but provided with fine bubbles and an aromatic aftertaste there is really finesse in this very well-made and distinctive sparkling wine." -Robert Parker
Alto Moncayo Veraton offers attractive collection of balsamic notes, as well as notes of chocolate and black fruits. It is very warm in the mouth and has an extremely pleasant finish. 100% Garnacha from Borja.
