Atalaya "Laya"
Garnacha Tintorera is known for its deep, inky color, and for coating theglass on the swirl. A rich and approachable wine with aromas of black fruit and berry, licorice, and espresso. A supple, balanced finish with hints of white pepper to complement the fruit.
Blend: 70% Garnacha Tintorera, 30% Monastrell
"The fruit-driven and easy-to-drink 2019 Laya was produced with Garnacha Tintorera, or Alicante Bouschet, grapes blended with 30% Monastrell from an unusually wet year with torrential rains during the harvest. It fermented in stainless steel vats with neutral yeasts, with malolactic in barrel, where the wine matured for four months. It's very dark, almost opaque, expressive and open. This comes from younger vines yet is structured and seamless, quite complete. It feels like a very good vintage for Garnacha Tintorera in the zone. The palate is round, somehow creamy, and the tannins are ripe and juicy. 360,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2020. Rating : 90+" -Wine Advocate

Chambers and Chambers
Bonny Doon Vin Gris Rosé
Bonny Doon Vineyard is a wine producer located in Santa Cruz on California's Central Coast and is well-known for its unconventional array of wines with quirky labels. The proprietor, Randall Grahm, is considered to be one of California's original "Rhône Rangers", and helped popularize grape varieties like Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Winery note: "In appearance, almost Cate Blanchettish in its pale elegance, a beautiful subtle salmon color (the wine, not Cate). On the nose, subtle suggestions of rose hips, linden flower, black currant as well as a slightly toastiness (methinks perhaps due to the extended bâtonnage and lees contact). On the palate, wonderful bracing natural acidity, good weight and comforting viscosity. Some discreet floral and fruity suggestions, (mostly ribes with background black-cherry notes). Let us presently offer a simple prayer: While virtually all of the ’18 vintage Vin Gris will be consumed within a year of purchase, may there be a few smart cookies who put the wine aside for several years to see it reach its full potential (and will be enormously well rewarded for doing so)." *Biodynamic*

Kent Rasmussen
Ramsay North Coast Pinot Noir
Made by Kent Rasmussen, the Ramsey label (named for his wife) has been around for decades. It is often found on restaurant lists, as
Kent chooses grapes and blends with great care to achieve stylistic continuity, year in, year out, at reasonable price points. This Pinot has wonderful deep flavors dominated by dark red fruit, bramble-berries and rose characters, but it doesn’t stop with those simple descriptors. It is rich and complex, yet full of bright fruitiness and spice. There are bright cherry notes, toasty oak and a good hit of classic Burgundian complexity. Over it all is a bright balance of cardamom spice. The tannins are in just a little drying, sort of like chewing on a marigold, and offset the fruit nicely. And all for under $20!
