Bapt & Clem's Rum
Calvados straw yellow color, light. This nose represents exactly what one can expect from a Calvados of this age: fresh fruit (apple, pear), candied fruit (quince jelly, apricot) and light toasted and toasted aromas (toast, hazelnut toasted). Beautiful greedy freshness.
In the mouth, we find this freshness carried by the fruit (pear with brandy) and by its vegetal character (fresh mint, fennel). Nice finish that persists for a long time.
Bapt & Clem's Rum
A pretty mahogany dress, intense with red highlights. The nose is of surprising aromatic complexity combining aromas of red fruit jams; of cigar box, sandalwood, balsamic vinegar, undergrowth, beeswax and fine spices (cinnamon, licorice). An aromatic festival ...
On the palate, the attack is supple and almost sweet. Then, an aromatic explosion reveals spices, cooked fruits, honey notes.
The finish is enveloping, rich and very persistent. A great rum of character
Bapt & Clem's Rum
Pretty fire color with more intense reflections.
The particular aging of Savanna brings incredible complexity and typicity to the nose: cooked fruit (cooked apple), praline, cigar box, dried flowers, beeswax. After a few minutes, heavier aromas of gingerbread, mint (almost medical) and honey complete this palette so rich in aromas.
In the mouth, the attack is supple, the tannins are rich and round, the end of mouth slightly spicy (green pepper, sweet pepper). A marvel of finesse
Bapt & Clem's Rum
This assemblage was made by Marc Darroze . It is the result of 3 different aging techniques that will bring complexity and richness.
Aging rums were conducted in barrels from the USA , having already contained American bourbon for at least two years .
No added sugar in this rum drier and aromatic than most rums produced in the Caribbean
Bapt & Clem's Rum
Golden yellow color, not very intense. A nose full of freshness marked by menthol aromas, fennel that accompany spices (nutmeg, balsamic, liquorice).
On the palate, these fresh menthol and balsamic notes bring finesse and elegance. The balance alcohol / aromas is superb and the tannins are round and silky. Beautiful length.
8 year old rum from Grenada, an island country in the south-eastern Caribbean Sea. Soft spices and subtle floral notes of violets on the nose, with a full flavoured palate of ripe fruits to follow. Bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd.
In what should be a landmark release for serious rum chasers, Berry Bros & Rudd is releasing their own private bottling line of exclusive selections from all over the rum-producing world. Every single selection is of the highest quality and, having tasted them, I'm going to find it very difficult to limit myself to one or two bottles. They are best appreciated as a set and, when tasted next to one another, make for one amazing education on sugar cane spirits. The Guadeloupe Rum is supple with vanilla extract on the nose, while maintaining a classic rum character. It's not viscious or sweet, but rich with flavor and a dry, spicy heat. -David Driscoll, K&L Spirits Buyer

The St Lucia explodes with a managerie of flavor - tea and honey aromas with cherries, with one of the most bizzare palates I have ever tasted on any spirit ever. Odd, but yet still enticing - fruit steeped with herbal tea and laced with menthol. Weird, weird, weird, but I want more. (David Driscoll, K&L Spirits Buyer)
Distilled: March 1998 Bottled: April 2015
One of 60 bottles.
The flagship Bumbu Rum is based on the original recipe created by 16th and 17th century sailors of the West Indies, who blended native Caribbean ingredients into their rum and called it “Bumbu” – truly the original craft spirit.
Using the same all-natural native spices and no artificial colors or flavors, Bumbu is an authentic revival of this piece of Caribbean history, distilled in small batches and blended by hand. We’re pretty sure our great-great-grandfathers would approve.
Cadenhead’s MPM Diamond Distillery Aged 14 Years. Another bottling from Cadenheads to celebrate their 175th Anniversary. This time from the Diamond Distillery or DDL (Demerara Distillers Limited). Today we are looking at a rum which was produced on the famous Port Mourant Still. We know this from the MPM legend on the label – Main Port Mourant (or something like that).
This rum was distilled back in 2003 and aged for 14 years, until 2017 when it was bottled by Cadenhead’s. It will be mostly Continentally aged In Europe. As mentioned already it was distilled on the Port Mourant Still. This still features heavily in DDL’s own El Dorado range, as well as in the iconic Pusser’s Rum . The 15 Year Old Pusser’s is entirely Port Mourant distillate. Well almost entirely give or take a spoonful or three of sugar…..
Nose: Industrial, oily rags, melba toast, poached pears, mango chutney and whiffs of diesel.
Flavour: Big, very big! Petrol, lemon juice, caramel, pecans, dry roasted peanuts and agave syrup.
Long oily, more petrol and caramel - not for the faint hearted!
Though known more for their whisky bottlings (they're one of the oldest independent bottlers in Scotland!), W.M. Cadenhead also bottle delicious rums, too. This is their Classic Rum, made with spirits from the Caribbean. Plenty of rich fruit and tobacco notes, with touches of almond and chewy toffee. Yum yum yum.
In 1923 the Caroni plain’s sugarcane plantation and distillery were founded in Trinidad. In 2003, when the islands sugarcane refinery and production was shuttered by the government, the distillery subsequently was forced to close the same year. Two years later La Maison and Velier, a company that bottles rare spirits, purchased all of the remaining stock at the Caroni facility. The rums for this product were distilled in 2000 using a double column still and a copper pot still and aged in oak. In 2017 this rum was developed using a stock of seven barrels that was blended to 55% ABV, creating 2700 bottles total to be released worldwide.

Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Rum is the latest addition to St. Lucia Distiller’s portfolio of world class rums. The rum contains local spices and fruits including cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, coconut, all spice, lemon and orange. We have also added Richeria Grandis – known locally as “Bois Bande” – a bark renowned in the Caribbean as a potent aphrodisiac to give an added kick to the rum.
These spices and fruits are added to rums distilled in copper alembic pot and continuous stills that are then aged in Kentucky Bourbon barrels to give a complex and balanced spice rum. We have found Chairman’s Reserve Spice benefits from a combination of steeping certain spices and Bois Bande in the rum for up to a year while the other ingredients are added during the blending process. In this way we can bring out the flavour of the spices and fruits while preserving the complexity and harmony of the underlying rum.
In 2005, Miles and Marko envisioned creating an ultra-smooth, floral rum distilled in Charbay's traditional 100% copper pot still made from sugar cane syrup that they sourced Hawaiian and Jamaican sugar cane syrup for its fresh cane fragrance.
A decade later, Master Distiller Marko Karakasevic opted to release the rum uncut and unfiltered to share the rum's full profile. Barrel/cask-strength: 136.8 proof (68.4% abv.)
Total production: 468 cases – only 120 cases released in 2016 Founder's Collection
The Damoiseau family produces spirits in the rhum agricole style using 100% first-pressed sugarcane juice grown at the Grand Terre estate. The Virgin Cane rum (rhum) is distilled just once to impart the true flavors of the cane juice, then the clear spirit is aged 6 months in stainless steel vats. Natural spring water is added to bring the spirit down to bottle proof.
Planas is an extraordinary blend of pot still, column and batch kettle rums. Aged for up to 6 years, it is elegant, rich, and surprisingly intense for a white rum. The complex charcoal filtration process carried out prior to bottling gives this rum it's crystal clear appearance and smooth finish.
Nose has fresh and tropical aromas like ground coffee and coconut, and the mouth has slightly fruity and creamy flavors. The extraordinary balance of this exquisite rum provides a delicate and pronounced finish.
