The cooler Carneros site imparts this wine with fresh green apple, Bosc pear, and lemon zest on the nose, while the warmer St. Helena site lends some tropical and melon notes. On the palate, the Carneros site gives gorgeous, bright acidity that is beautifully balanced by the creamy, lingering texture of the St. Helena fruit. A kiss of oak adds subtle layers to the nose and palate of toasted almonds, baked vanilla and spice.

Over the past few years we have been experimenting with crafting a sparkling wine usuing the ancestral method, AKA Pétillant Naturel. The creation of this wine requires perfect timing. It must be captured in bottle at just the right level of natural sugar so it is perfectly carbonated upon release. Much different than typical sparking wines, the finished wine has a unique raw character, loaded with energy and charisma.
This wine is everything you want out of a sparkling wine. Super refreshing, with great acidity. Crisp apples and fresh melon dominate the palate.
A Champagne House is eventually judged on the quality of its Brut Non Vintage. It is in the making of such a wine that the true Art of Champagne blending reveals itself. Grapes from as many as 50 to 60 different Crus are used for the blending of Yellow Label. The predominance of Pinot Noir provides the core structure of Clicquot, while a touch of Meunier rounds out the blend. Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse essential to a perfectly balanced wine.
"Light gold. Musky orchard fruits and dried fig on the mineral-accented nose. Fleshy and broad on the palate, offering smoky pear and nectarine flavors and a hint of honey. Finishes on a gently spicy note, with very good cling and a touch of bitter lemon pith. Things have definitely begun to turn around for this bottling, which had been lagging behind the winery's vintage offerings for some time."- Vinous Media
Pairs well with roast chicken, seafood with lemon/citrus sauces and creamy pastas.
Lifted floral aromas of orange blossom and honeysuckle complement the pear, golden delicious apple, white peach, kumquat and pink grapefruit fruit aromas. The flavors on the palate echo the nose, with the addition of lemon zest, wet graphite and a slight tropical note. The entry on the palate is broad and rich, balanced by bright acidity.
We decided on “Latitude” since it seemed to give a better description of this cuvée, with its fully round, rich, charming style.
It is composed exclusively of Chardonnays originating from the same “latitude”: the south of Vertus. This is a generous terroir: the cuvée Latitude is the perfect festive Champagne, which still retains the characteristic pureness of our Estate’s Champagnes.
The natural alcoholic fermentation (natural yeast) and the malolactic fermentation begin spontaneously in our casks, our wooden vats and our stainless-steel tanks. The wines are left on their natural lees for nearly a year and undergo gentle bâtonnages, but no filtering or fining. The blending and the bottling are carried out in July. The bottles are then taken down into the coolness of our cellars, where the second fermentation and the maturation 'on laths' quietly take place over a period of more than 2 years. Each bottle is disgorged manually 6 months before being marketed. The dosage is 4 grams per litre (extra-brut!).
It encapsulates the gorgeous freshness of young Vertus chardonnay in its grapefruit.

The 2016 Grayson Chardonnay is brilliantly ripe and shows bright, brisk acidity and good minerality with notes of pineapple and apricot. The palate offers green apple fruit with a crisp finish showing gentle hints of apple pie and vanilla flavors.
Blend: 100% Chardonnay
Chardonnay Les Grandes Coutures is from three plots bordering Meursault with vine ages from 15 to 51 years. Soils are predominantly argile (clay), bringing weight and texture to this Bourgogne Blanc. The wine was aged from 12 to 14 months in 15-20% percent new French oak.
Wines from Meursault are typified by aromas and flavors of ripe melon, hazelnut, and lemon custard, and tend to be broader and more textural than wines from neighboring villages. Aging in 15-20% percent small French oak barrels lends notes of toast and vanilla.
The 2006 PlumpJack Reserve Chardonnay continues our tradition of creating fruit driven wine that captures the essence of the Chardonnay grape. Primary aromas of baked pear, apple and banana with secondary aromas of spearmint, lemon zest and white peaches are followed on the palate with flavors of Fuji apple, pear, lemondrop and a touch of vanilla custard .
The 2016 Odette Reserve Chardonnay is 100% barrel fermented in 85% new French Oak for 16 months on its lees. This "old shot wente" selection delivers notes of nectarine, lemon zest, honeysuckle, toasted brioche and white blossoms with a touch of minerality.
Enjoy with fresh seafood, roasted chicken, grilled pork, and creamy cheeses.
Lloyd Cellars 2016 Carneros Chardonnay is the newest vintage of our most popular wine. Sourced from the Kiser, Home and Green Acres Blocks from Sangiacomo Vineyard, as well as a small amount of fruit from the Truchard Vineyard, this is a fantastic expression of big, rich California Chardonnay.
Picked at the peak of ripeness, our Chardonnay is barrel fermented and aged for 10 months in American oak. Left on the lees right until bottling. Flavors of tropical fruits, pear and apple are supported by rich notes of vanillin, leading into a powerful and succulent finish. Cheers and enjoy!
