The 2015 vintage gave the 2015 PlumpJack Merlot, Napa Valley aromas of velvety raspberry, bright blackberry, sweet plum, white flowers and wild mushroom crostini. The barrels sprinkle in campfire s'mores and warming spices. The palate is delicate upon entry and crescendos to full-bodied and rich on the mid-palate. Bright acid and beautiful structure give this wine great tension, relentless balance and persistence on the finish that concludes with warm cocoa and fresh vanilla.
Aromas of black cherry, coffee, licorice, and creamy bright fruit. On the palate, chocolate-covered cherries, and hoisin sauce. Elegant, nuanced, texturally plush with velvety tannins
Blend: 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot
Blend: 81% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot
Tasting Notes: Cherry red with intense aromas of spices and herbs such as thyme and bay leaf along with abundant ripe red fruits. Medium bodied, juicy, and very well balanced on the palate. Ideal with meatballs with tomato sauce, chicken wings, and pizza.
Vineyard: The grapes for this wine come from different Merlot vineyards in the Colchagua Valley with an average age of 15 years
Bold fruit, with flavors of blackberry, rhubarb, and pomegranate wrapped in floral bouquet with undertones of cedar and tobacco. The palate fills with flavors of cherries, plums, spice and a slight saline quality. The soft tannins persist through a long, generous finish.
Youthful aromatics of fresh plum, blueberries, and brown sugar with hints of caramel and violets. Flavors consist of black cherry and other dark fruits with notes of vanilla from a combination of good French and American wood. The addition of Cabernet and Syrah brings a bit of blackberry and raspberry to the mix. Great acidity keeps the flavors hanging in the mouth well after the finish.
Blend: 86% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Syrah
This Merlot has a subtle and rounded palate with flavors of blackberry, vanilla and mocha. The finish is long and concentrated with hints of dried cherry.
Pair with breaded veal, marinara pastas, fried calamari, and hearty seafoods.
