Berthenet Bourgogne Aligote

$18.99

The Berthenets own 2 hectares of Aligoté, including a half-hectare old-vine parcel planted in 1950 on clay and granite soils. Yields average 70 hl/ha, and grass is allowed to grow between the rows of vines. This is plowed during the vegetal season and soil is decompacted by turning it over in the winter. The Vieilles Vignes cuvée is aged in stainless-steel, and has bright citrus notes buttressed by just the right amount of acidity to push the fruit forward.
