Elena Fucci
Elena Fucci Titolo Aglianico del Vulture 2014
Dark and intense ruby red with an ample and complex nose yielding ethereal spices, cherry, blackberry preserves, rosemary, tobacco and cinnamon with light hints of vanilla. Dry on the palate and full bodied with firm tannins and a long finish. Although a young wine when released, it is destined for a great future!

Di Majo
Di Majo Norante Apianae 500ml
This old vine, which was dear to the Popes, has been cultivated in Italy since 200 B.C. and was named Apicia, Apicius or Apianae - according to Colummella and the other Georgics.

I Clivi Verduzzo Friuli Colli Orientali
Distinctive variety perhaps best known for sweet wines. This dry example shows a distinctive oily, slightly phenolic texture, fresh acidity, very complex and interesting aromas and flavors (herbal hints, white peach, even a hint of marmalade). Long; I bet this would age, although I haven't had older examples.

I Favati Taurasi Terzotratto
Taurasi is a town in the province of Avellino, Campania, Italy. Taurasi is a historic town which is located in the region of Sannio. The town’s name probably derives from the Latin Taurus. Taurasi and Taurasi riserva are red, still Italian wines based principally on the Aglianico grape. Small percentages of Barbera and Piedirosso are sometimes included. Taurasi received the DOCG status in 1993.
The production of the Aglianico d’Irpinia I.G.T. and Taurasi D.O.C.G wines begins exactly the same: selection of the best grapes, then vinification and fermentation in large steel tanks, followed by racking into large oak barrels (botti). After about 12 months of aging, the part of the wine destined to become Taurasi continues aging in botti, while the wine assigned to become Aglianico I.G.T. is declassified, removed from botti, allowed to soften for around two months in large steel tanks, aged for at least two more months in bottle, and then released for sale.

Perticaia Spoleto Trebbiano Spoletino
BOUQUET: Tropical fruit fragrances, yellow flowers, and during refinement in the bottle it acquires the typical scent of hydrocarbons.
TASTE: Full-bodied wine, with an enjoyable freshness and solidity, supported by an excellent base sweetness.
IDEAL WITH: It accompanies base dishes such as fish and seafood very well, as well as white meat, and it is an excellent aperitif.
EVOLUTION: It is a wine that can easily age for 4-5 years in the bottle, notably improving its quality over time and acquiring a surprising complexity.

Genio "Credere" Refosco
A bounty of ruby red cranberry, cheery, and black plum. Soft velvet like tannins and perfect acidity to make this a wine enjoyable on it own or with food. It has winter spice and herbaceous notes giving it a savory quality.
This medium bodied ruby wine goes great with barbecued and grilled meats, pork fillet with fruit sauce (plum or apple), deep tomato sauces, and roasted carrots.

Podere Poggio Scalette, Il Carbonaione, Alta Valle della Greve IGT 2016
Il Carbonaione is a full-bodied, rich wine with an exuberant personality and great aging potential. It has abundant aromas of red and dark berry fruits - tart cherries, blackberries, currants, and plums with notes of spice. On the palate, the wine is lush and full-bodied with flavors of berry fruits buoyed by focused tannins unfolding over a pleasant, lingering finish.
James Suckling Top 100 Wines of 2019: ""A fruity style, boasting cherry and raspberry flavors and a light touch of oak spice. Leather, earth, iron and sanguine elements creep in as this gains air. Firms up, ending with a dusty finish." 97 Points

Giovanna Chessa Mattariga Vermentino di Sardegna DOC
Pale yellow in color, this 100% Vermentino shows aromas and flavors of lemon-peel, flowers and ‘macchia,’ the smell of the wild herbs that surround the limestone-rich vineyards. Fresh acidity makes this a very versatile food wine (a natural choice with seafood), and I love it as a dry aperitif too.

Tenuta di Fiorano, Fioranello Bianco, Lazio IGT 2017
Straw yellow with golden reflections in glass. The bouquet is an elegant array of wild spring flowers and fruit, with prominent notes of mango, banana and golden apple. The taste confirms those sensations with a long persistent finish.
This bottle is a blend of Grechetto and Viogner. Those are the only white grapes cultivated in the estate.

Rainoldi Prugnolo Valtellina Superiore DOCG
Typical Nebbiolo aromas with pronounced hints of plum, cherry, and hazelnut. On the palate, it is full-bodied and mouth-filling and is an extremely well-balanced, elegant wine even in youth.
In the northern Italian Alps, a patchwork of steeply terraced vineyards spans the northern side of a valley in Lombardy that stretches 25 miles east to west. The vineyards, all facing south, receive optimum sun exposure and are ideal for growing grapes. Winemaking here dates back to the first millennium and today, Valtellina is the only well-established and recognized wine region almost completely dedicated to growing and making Nebbiolo.
