Happy December! I hope everyone has been enjoying the holidays! We close the year with beers from a brewery familiar to our Beer club – Altamont Beer Works out of Livermore, CA. Located in the heart of Livermore’s exploding wine country, they’re the first brewery in town since prohibition. They focus on providing customers fresh, clean beers, specializing in hop forward balanced ales, but have a little something for everyone.
What better way is there to warm up during the Winter season other than with dark, malt forward beers?
Cheers!

Midnite Brew: Ease into the “nite” with this deliciously balanced dark hoppy ale! Hints of chocolate and roasted malt weave together perfectly with tropical hop aromas.
Nutty Operator: Pretty much like drinking a Reese’s peanut butter cup! An oatmeal stout that is smooth drinking that is provided by the heavy addition of oats. Chocolate malt and roasted malt provide all the flavors and aromas one could desire to experience dessert in a glass.
Mocha Something New: Full-bodied imperial stout that possesses that creamiest of mouthfeels found in a beer. Paired with bold flavors of fresh roasted coffee and cocoa. This beer is robust yet smooth making it one of the easiest drinking darker beers you can have.
Bourbon Barrel Aged Something New: Take the beer above, age it in barrels that previously held Four Roses bourbon and out comes that same beer amplified on a whole different level. Still maintains the smooth character for an oatmeal stout but is complimented by notes of vanilla, cherry and bourbon.
