Happy April! We are showcasing a brewery that just began distributing to the Bay Area - Fremont Brewing out of Seattle, Washington. They specialize in all styles of beer but are best known for their barrel-aged offerings. So popular amongst the beer community that when we put some of their beers for sale in the beginning of April, the beers sold out in MINUTES! Lucky for you, no waiting in line, no rushing to purchase online, I saved one of those special barrel-aged beers for you. Also included are some of the easier drinking, session-able beers they produce.

Fremont Brewing "Paradise Peak"

Style: Pilsner

Hops: Magnum, Czech Saaz

Grain: Bohemian Pilsner, Carafoam and Acidulated malts

Serving temp: 38° – 45° F

Tasting Notes: Aromas of honeysuckle, biscuit malt, and citrus. Flavors that are lightly sweet while maintain some lightly bitter notes. Classic grassy undertones usually found in Pilsners.

Fremont Brewing "Sky Kraken"

Style: Hazy Pale Ale

Hops: Citra, Mosaic, Strata

Grain: 2-Row Pale malt, White Wheat, Flaked Wheat, Malted Oats and Rolled Oats

Serving temp: 45° – 50° F

Tasting Notes: Huge aromas of guava, lemon and pineapple. Fills the palate with flavors of ripe melon, juicy citrus, citrus peel while having slightly grassy notes.

Fremont Brewing "Lush"

Style: IPA

Hops: Citra, Mosaic, Citra Lupulin Powder

Grain: 2-Row Pale, Honey malt

Serving temp: 45° – 50° F

Tasting Notes: Aromas of melon, tropical fruits, citrus and hints of spice. Beautiful flavors of juicy citrus fruits and slightly peppery notes.

Fremont Brewing "Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Star" 2018

Style: Imperial Oatmeal Stout aged in Bourbon barrels

Hops: Columbus, Willamette, Cascade

Grain: 2-Row Pale, Roast barely, Crystal-60, Chocolate, Carafa-2 malts with Flaked oats.

Serving temp: 45° – 55° F

Tasting Notes: This special release is a blend of 24, 18, 12, and 8-month Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Star in 7-12-year old Kentucky bourbon barrels. Massive aromas of chocolate, bourbon and coffee, complimented with flavors of vanilla, dark fruit and oak.
