Carol Shelton Coquille Blanc $26.99 - A white Rhone blend (Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Viognier, and Marsanne) from sustainably grown vineyards in Paso Robles and Mendocino. Toreta Pošip Sur Lie $27.99 - A native white varietal of the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, Pošip is an aromatic grape with naturally high acidity and a mineral character. This wine was aged in on the lees for 18 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, giving it a rich creamy texture while retaining it's bright acidity. Full bodied and buttery, with notes of citrus and peach with a savory finish. Will pair well with lobster, grilled octopus, and fish stews.
Fieldhand "La Substance" Cabernet Sauvignon $36.99 - An exciting new project by Patrick O'Brien, a Failla and Gail Wines alum who refurbishes backyard vineyards in exchange for fruit to make these expressive wines. This is cab made in a style similar to pinot noir, utilizing partial whole cluster and neutral oak to keep the wines bright and fresh. Fresh dark berry flavors with soft tannins and fresh acidity. Will pair well with lamb, shepherd's pie, and pot pie.
Sandlands Lodi Red Table Wine $35.99 - Personal project of Tegan Passalacqua, Director of Winemaking at Turley utilizing old vines from lesser known areas of California and using minimal intervention to make bright, expressive wines. This is an equal blend of Zinfandel, Cinsault, and Carignane from Lodi, all from vineyards planted around the beginning of the 20th century. Velvety tannins and notes of black cherry and tea. Will pair well with game and root vegetables.
Bodegas Divina Proporcion 24 Mozas Toro $26.99 - Toro is a region in Northwest Spain known for their big, tannic, and bold reds using the local Tempranillo, Tinta de Toro, which makes deeper colored and more tannic wines than are found in Rioja or Ribera del Duero. While this wine is full bodied, it feels lighter than the tannins feel smooth and the dark fruit flavors of black plum and blackberry feel fresh with well integrated oak showing notes of coconut and vanilla. Will pair well with braised short ribs or beef of any kind.
