Domaine de Montille Nuits-Saint-Georges Theory 2016

$125.99

The wines of the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation are produced in the communes of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Premeaux-Prissé. This terroir, as vast as it is complex, is planted mainly in Pinot Noir. North of the appellation, fine wines, more aromatic and more tender reminiscent of those of the neighboring town, Vosne-Romanée. While in the south going towards Premeaux, the wines tend to be denser and firm, requiring patience.

The locality "Aux Thorey" (or "Thorey") is located north, next to "Chaignots" towards Vosne-Romanée. The Domaine de Montille cultivates 0.73 hectare of vines in the nearest part of Vosne-Romanée on a soil composed mainly of limestone and marl.

Located at the foot of the hills, to the north going towards Vosne-Romanée, the resemblance of this wine with those of Vosne is striking: aromatic, almost perfumed with floral notes, this tender and luscious wine with a light texture blossoms relatively early (3 to 5 years).
