Winemaker Notes: My favorite wines to drink at home are Grenache based Southern Rhone Blends. It’s been a mission of mine to develop the California version that suits my palate as well as our gorgeous weather. This one makes me smile every time I open it, so I think I’m close.

It is a juicy blend of Grenache’s abundant red fruits, Mourvedre’s dark and brooding blue fruits, and a luscious bit of Syrah color and silky tannins on the finish. The result is a wine brimming with raspberry and chocolate flavors. It makes me so joyful to drink this wine, I hope you feel the same. It will continue to open and evolve it’s tannin structure for years to come.
