Raveneau Chablis "Montee de Tonnerre" 1er Cru 2022

$430.99

Winery Notes:  Located on the right bank of the Serein, right next to the Grands Crus, the Montée de Tonnerre has all the qualities of a great wine. The vines, located in the middle (place called "Chapelot") and the top (place called "Pied d'Aloup") of the hillside, were planted for 1/3 in the 1950s, 1/3 in the 1970s and 1/3 in the 1990s.  Very complex and well-balanced, the Montée de Tonnerre also combines power, length and minerality.

A benchmark Montée de Tonnerre. The domaine has 3.1ha in total, made up of a blend of 10 different plots within Chapelot and Pied d'Aloup, vines aged from 10-60 years. Distinct notes of crisp green apple, cool on the nose and palate with great freshness. Impressive stony, mineral characters support the concentration. A profound rendition in which elegance meets power. For long-term ageing. 95 points Decanter, AH
