2016 Les Pavots meets the eye with a near-black ruby color and deep ruby rim. The nose displays a sophisticated bouquet of fresh leather, morel mushroom, vanilla bean, black fruit, cherry, blackberry, blueberry coulis, and a stylish ‘garrigue’ touch. Fullbodied and elegant, the wine offers the same rich, ripe fruit impressions on the palate. The mouth feel is dense and round, with supple tannins and subtle mineral notes leading to a long finish. Approachable now, the wine provides a classic presentation of our estate’s terroir. It will handsomely reward four years of cellaring and continue to age gracefully for two decades.
Blend: 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 13% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot

James Suckling Top 100 Wines of 2019: ""A fruity style, boasting cherry and raspberry flavors and a light touch of oak spice. Leather, earth, iron and sanguine elements creep in as this gains air. Firms up, ending with a dusty finish." 97 Points
Typical Nebbiolo aromas with pronounced hints of plum, cherry, and hazelnut. On the palate, it is full-bodied and mouth-filling and is an extremely well-balanced, elegant wine even in youth.
In the northern Italian Alps, a patchwork of steeply terraced vineyards spans the northern side of a valley in Lombardy that stretches 25 miles east to west. The vineyards, all facing south, receive optimum sun exposure and are ideal for growing grapes. Winemaking here dates back to the first millennium and today, Valtellina is the only well-established and recognized wine region almost completely dedicated to growing and making Nebbiolo.
Distilled from grain on Lake Maggiore in Italy this is a gin focused on Orange Bergemont. Clear and crystalline. The olfactory test reveals a delicate scent with hints of juniper and spices. The taste is soft and round with a complex aftertaste of botanicals due to the aromas perceived in the windy days on Lake Maggiore. Distillery Notes
Our family founded this historic distillery in 1847 in Angera, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, in the Piedmont and Lombardy regions of Italy and just south of the Swiss Alps. During our 169 years of history, 5 generations have carried on this family tradition with passion and desire to spread the Italian culture. We believe in the value of good wine and cherished quality time while drinking with friends and family. In 1847, Bernardo Rossi, began producing our first distilled drinks.
Elements coming together and combining form the basis of all matter. Atoms, particles, protons and neutrons…. Or in the words of the poet, Dante, all that is scattered through the universe; substances and accidents and their relations, as it were fused together… You can see something magical, something divine in it. Certainly something outstanding. Paradise. A blend bringing together various Jamaica rum distilleries which, set like gemstones in antique crowns, create a spirit that's full of rhythm, music and happiness. We're surprised and won over by the pungent tones that tingle like bubbles on the palate. Irresistibly Mediterranean... amazing. Packed with aromas that don't disappoint the expectations created by the nose. Coffee, fruit, balsamic notes and mint alternate in a complex rhythm.

Wine Spectator Cellar Selection #12
Just when we thought this one would never grow up, we find it moving past primary fruit with elegant characteristics of cedar, tea and tobacco. Even so, expect the '97 to remain lively for a few years to come as it still offers big mouthfeel, dark color, with flavors of chocolate and black fruit. A long finish of mocha, vanilla and spice is tied up with the classic tannins of the Stags Leap District.
"Very deep garnet colored with a hint of purple, this has a powerful nose of blackcurrant cordial, kirsch and prunes with plenty of baking spices and dark chocolate. Very big, full and rich in the mouth, it has a firm level of velvety tannins, crisp acid and a very long finish."- The Wine Advocate
“The 2015 vintage gave us smaller berries packed with an immensity of pure, opulent aromas and flavors. This rich, polished hillside Cabernet Sauvignon overflows with briary black fruit, juicy black cherry, racy dried cranberry, black licorice, and freshly cracked pepper with elegant touches of cedar, baking spice, and wet stone. The finish is generous and persistent, while the tannins are ripe and integrated offering both a pleasurable experience now and the kind of structure that promises even more beauty with time.” -Winemaker
"Always impressive in its grasp of power and grace, this white is memorable from start to finish, beginning with a dark golden-hay color that dazzles in the glass. A strong floral component of jasmine invites on the nose, while sparkling acidity maintains a freshness amidst the integrated oak and delicious flavors of honeyed pear and crème brûlée." -WE
"The 2016 Relentless offers deep, elegant, meaty, gamey aromas and flavors that are pure Syrah. These are fused with blueberry, black pepper, wet stone, and black tea. The vintage offers an ideal balance of immensity and energy, along with a beautiful, silken texture in the mouth, a lengthy finish, and ripe tannins that promise many rich, memorable years ahead".- Winemaker
This wine stands out for its unique red ruby color and black fruit aromas; in mouth it is well rounded and rich in flavors, where the figs notes and wild fruits, together with delicate spices aromas, are in perfect harmony.
This is a carmenere with a dark and ripe fruit character, dried herb and chocolate undertones. Medium to full body. Juicy finish. Always excellent.
With wonderful aromas of apple cider, chalk and lemon zest, this clean and focused wine expands on the palate to reveal warm apple crisp, clove and quince nuances.
Possessing a long, concentrated citrus finish, this wine pairs perfectly with roasted pork, shellfish and egg-based sauces or as a charming cocktail beverage.
At harvest, clusters were field-sorted and then hand picked, and then at the winery hand-sorted (berry-by-berry) at an average of 24.6 Brix. Cold soaking for 3 days in open-top temperature-controlled fermenters developed color and flavor (in the absence of alcohol). Fermentation began spontaneously with prevailing yeasts and one daily punchdown kept the cap immersed in must, extracting superb flavor and structure. After inoculation with cultured yeasts and twenty-nine days on their skins the must was gently pressed into French oak barriques at about 5 brix where it completed fermentation. One Oakville District Merlot lot was used, adding really nice mouthfeel and mid-palate. Barrels were 100% French, 30% new, three-year air-dried, medium-plus toast and hand-bent by Cadus and Francois Freres in central France. Thirteen months barrel maturation with only one racking and one organic egg white fining integrated flavors and developed its wonderfully smooth mouth-feel. We believe it is a “textbook” example of this noble variety grown in this outstanding appellation and that it can be enjoyed for several years to come.
Marvellous single malt from the Bowmore distillery on Islay, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. This one is a 15 year old expression, boasting a delicious balance between peaty smoke and vanilla-y sweetness. Dig in.
An 18 year old Highland Park single malt, independently bottled by those folks from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The Maltstock 2012 crew are all on the label once again, as is Charlemange (and his bloomers, which are being thrown in to a tree for good luck). That balloon in the top left corner looks pretty suspicious, though...
