Made by Bedrock Wine Company, the whole shebang is a blend of Zinfandel, Syrah and Petite Sirah.
Yummy, big, full-bodied red with lots of pepper and meaty notes intermixed with red and black fruits, earth, and spice. Some of the declassified lots from the Bedrock cuvées also end up in this blend. A terrific bargain, it should drink well for several years.
Shebang! Red Fourteenth Cuvee is a true red wine gem from one of the best wineries in Sonoma, Bedrock Wine Company. This is a delicious blend that is spicy and full bodied. It's a fun wine that is perfect for everyday drinking but also has some serious pedigree. The base for Shebang! Comes from 100+ year-old vines from the Bedrock Vineyard.
Aromas of black cherry, coffee, licorice, and creamy bright fruit. On the palate, chocolate-covered cherries, and hoisin sauce. Elegant, nuanced, texturally plush with velvety tannins

"The Prisoner was inspired by the “mixed blacks” first made by the Italian immigrants who originally settled in Napa Valley. The Prisoner is now the most recognized Napa Valley red blend, leading the resurgence of interesting blends by incorporating Zinfandel with the unlikely mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Charbono.
Features enticing aromas of Bing cherry, dark chocolate, clove, and roasted fig. Persistent flavors of ripe raspberry, boysenberry, pomegranate, and vanilla linger harmoniously, for a smooth and luscious finish."

Inviting and expressive aromas of bright red cherry, and raspberry are combined with hints of savory ground clove spice and graham cracker. Nuances of graphite and sea salt bring another dimension that come together with a bright acidity driving a long, lively finish.
"Moving to the reds, the appellation 2018 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast was just about completely destemmed (2% stems) and spent 10 months in 18% new French oak. Lots of spice box, earthy forest floor, cherries, and redcurrant notes define the bouquet, and it's medium-bodied and balanced, with good acidity and a great finish. As with everything from this estate, it's impeccably made and high-quality." 93 points Jeb Dunnuck
Raul Perez is not only a Spanish wine consultant to some of the most exciting projects and emergent terroirs of the past 15 or so years, he also makes plenty of his own wines, including this one in his home base of Valtuille (Bierzo). This is a fantastic example of the savory, mineral and bright, almost Syrah like fruit that Mencia is capable of producing when in the best of hands. Highly recommended.
A beautiful pale pink robe, a delicate nose of white flowers and red fruits, a precise and intense mouth. Dominating the blend, the Pinot Noir brings elegance and power, while the freshness of Chardonnay and the delicacy of Gamay complete the balance of this cuvée.
"Bursting with vibrant pink grapefruit and red berry aromas; a complexity of brioche, hibiscus and lime zest with a creamy mousse and an elegant, saline finish."- 95 points Decanter

"It has a rare confluence of delicate complexity and medium to full bodied weight on the palate, with lovely minerality like other wines of the region.
Pair with roast lamb, spicy sausage or charcuterie in a supporting role, this wine would fare well on the table.

Strawberry preserves leap from the glass initially, followed by a bouquet of floral aromatics: lavender, violets and roses. Rich earthy notes of freshly plowed soil, fresh rain on warm granite and petrichor. Spicy, but not a peppery spice, more of a star anise spiciness, tart raspberries and sweet plouts, with a very long, dusty finish of strawberry cream, vanilla and caramelized sugar that lingers.... smooth and luscious!
"“The 2018 Syrah Ex Post Facto is bold and beautiful. Dark plum, blueberry, lavender, licorice and cloves give this dark sepia-toned Syrah much of its dark expression. Time in the glass brings out hints of citrus and black pepper that brighten up the flavor profile nicely. The 2018 has real depth and intensity, not to mention tons of character. Greg Brewer gave the 2018 45-60 days on the skins, with virtually all whole clusters, followed by 18 months in barrel.” 94 Points Antonio Galloni
Alanera translates as "black wing," a reference to the raven, "corvo" in Italian, and an homage to the Valpolicella region's treasured indigenous grape, "Corvina". Alanera is a seductive wine that derives extra richness from an innovative variation on the traditional appassimento method practiced throughout the zone. 50% of all the grapes harvested to produce this wine are partially dried for 45-60 days. The highly concentrated juice from these partially dried grapes adds an unusually complex spectrum of aromas and flavors to the blend. 12 months in barrel round out the tannin structure in this eminently drinkable red. Brilliant ruby in color, Alanera delights the senses with a variety of aromas and flavors that include fresh and dried cherries and prunes, sweet spice, and hints of coffee and tobacco. On the palate, Alanera is full-bodied with elegant and velvety tannins. Vibrant acidity brings balance and freshness, and supports a long and harmonious finish.
2018 was our second vintage with full control of farming at our nearly 130-year-old estate site (still gives me chills to say that), and we enjoyed a mild and even vintage leading to a relatively late harvest at this amazing Delta site. This is a classic Evangelho, showing the bright and composed fruit we expect along with the savory bite inflected by the Mataro and Carignan, and one that should provide plenty of pleasure throughout the years.
This Champagne is a blend of some 30 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyards, respectively 40% and 60% of the total, from several harvests of perfectly ripened grapes.
"Smoke and toast accents lace crushed raspberry, candied lemon zest and apple blossom notes in this firm, aperitif-style Champagne."- Wine Spectator
Excellent with richly flavored main courses based on red meat, such as braised meats and game, and perfect with mature cheeses. It can also be enjoyed on its own at the end of a fine dinner.
"Made with organically grown grapes, this full-bodied, plush red has inviting aromas of baked plum, new leather, camphor and violet. Smooth and enveloping, the delicious palate doles out mouthfuls of fruit cake, baking spice, fleshy blackberry and licorice. Velvety tannins provide softness while fresh acidity keeps it balanced. Drink through 2031." 94 Points Wine Enthusiast
Taittinger Cuvée Prestige Rosé is intense cherry-pink in color with extremely fine, persistent pinpoint bubbles rising in delicate strands to the surface of the wine. Its classic, aromatic Pinot fragrance of red raspberries and strawberries is offset by elegant, subtle floral and earth nuances. On the palate, the ripe, full berry flavors are vibrant yet refined, delicately balanced by a fresh acidity which carries into a crisp, refreshing finish of persistent length.
West Block is located in a cool, wind-blown area of Petaluma in the Sonoma Coast AVA. Planted in the early-90’s to the Joseph Phelps clone of Syrah, this vineyard block is oriented east-west allowing even ripening during the long, extended growing season. The close proximity to the San Pablo Bay create a maritime climate that further accentuates the cool climate for Petaluma. The soils are derived from decomposed sandstone and shale, adding intense structure and complexity to our Sonoma Coast Nouveau.
Our 2019 Sonoma Coast Nouveau is comprised of 51% Syrah from West Block in Petaluma Gap and 49% Pinot Noir from Home Block in Sonoma Coast. Produced by way of a ten day carbonic maceration, this wine has a vivacious intensity on the nose and lively fresh palate: juicy peppered strawberry, ripe plum, and fresh violet, overlaid with notes of bay laurel, juniper and lavender. We love to drink this wine slightly chilled and pair it with smoked meats, charcuterie or hot smoked salmon.
The 2016 Sonnet Tempranillo is composed of 100% Tempranillo from the Gali Vineyard. Oncew fermentation was complete 38% of the wine was aged in Hungarian oak. The wine was then bottled unfined and unfiltered. Only 170 cases were produced. Tony writes, “In the 1980s, a summer had arrived and there was no acting work in sight, so I picked up my back pack and started hitch hiking throughout Europe. When I arrived in Spain, I came across a wonderful wine varietal, Tempranillo, and it had the most aromatic aroma I had ever noticed in any wine. Since I became a winemaker, I have been searching for a great Califonia Tempranillo vineyard and finaly found one a few years ago, and this is the first Sonnet offering from that quest. It shows an amazing depth of fruit, from plums and blackberry to hints of black cherry. It is a robust wine that has been aged for more than two years in oak barrels and will age gracefully in bottle for many years to come.”
Few food and wine pairings can top a delicious Tempranillo matched with grilled lamb chops. The Sonnet Tempranillo pairs nicely with medium to strong-flavored semi-hard and hard cheeses (Manchego), and dishes with tomatoes and tomato sauces. It also pairs beautifully with regional Spanish dishes such as caldo de temporada-Galician style pumpkin-chicken soup, smoked bacon, chorizo, potato and broccoli rabe, or costilla al vino tinto-Tempranillo-braised short ribs, confit potatoes and crispy leeks.
