Haynes Vineyard, sitting on a bed of volcanic alluvial soils, is one well known to Failla fans as an excellent Chardonnay source. We are thrilled to have an opportunity to sample the other varieties this exceptional vineyard has to offer. The Syrah is fermented 100% whole cluster, then aged 11 months in 15% new French oak. 

Dense aromatics and compact tannins hint at its aging potential. Today, decanting will reward with classic peppercorn, cured meats, and sandalwood. Very structured and elegant.
