This is a wine for weeknight dinners and sipping with friends. Made for us from Stefan Wellanschitz's (of Kolfok fame) family estate. Blau is a dry red made from 15-45 year-old Blaufränkisch vines in Unterpetersdorf in the Neckenmarkter mountains. Fermented and aged in large used oak barrels, this medium-bodied red is fresh and highly quaffable.
