Importer Notes: Domaine Ferrer-Ribière, located in Terrats in Roussillon (Languedoc-Roussillon), has been family-run since the mid-20th century and converted to organic in 2007 with plans to move toward biodynamics, with vineyard work influenced by wildlife.

The wine has a deep violet-black color with rich aromas of dark berries, pepper spice, leather and currant pastilles.  Concentrated yet fresh with balanced acidity and firm tannins with notes of pepper, coffee, and liquorice with a long and savory finish.

Our Tasting Notes: A rich nose of baking spice, baked red berries, raspberry, and strawberry preserves.  Full bodied with firm tannins and bright acidity, this dense volcanic sings with concentrated flavors of potpourri, cranberry sauce, cherry liqueur, and strawberry preserves with a long finish that contrasts jammy red fruit flavors with a volcanic character.
