Pierre Gauthier has come up with an absolutely splendid wine. Richness of fruit, dark color, good earth notes, minerality and not a hint of underripe or overripe notes make this, his base cuvée, able to stand up to some of the grandest wines of the region. The secret here is old vines, organic farming and continually plowing the soil.
Here it is, judge for yourself. Drink it now with hearty winter fare or cellar it for 3-5 years. You will be amazed at the complexity that develops.
