This is our love letter to Tempranillo and a nod to the versatility of the variety as it can be grown throughout Alta California. The fruit is sourced from Napa, Amador, Paso Robles, and Monterey Counties. We blended in 5% of our solera Tempranillo lots, to feather in more age into the wine.

The 2021 bottling of Tinta Alta is our best iteration yet, and we attribute it to the exemplary qualities that each of the 5 vineyard sources bring to the table. We are working with Tempranillo grown in the Sierra Nevada foothills all the way to the Monterey coastline - providing a singular blend of the best terroirs in California. On the nose, is a harmonious blend of dark cherry, blood orange, and a subtle hint of bay laurel. The palate reveals a full-bodied character with a firm structure and vibrant energy, showcasing ripe red fruit aromas and delicate floral notes. Smooth, juicy tannins accompany the journey, leading to a fresh and long finish.
