This is a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Savagnin, aged separately. The Chardonnay barrels are topped up to prevent oxidation while the Savagnin is exposed to oxygen, similar to Vin Jeaune, and this has many of the same qualities. Walnuts, sherry, dried apricots, peanut brittle, ginger, white flowers, and dried apple rings. A very clean wine showing the intense oxidative qualities of traditional flor–aged winemaking.
