Buffalo Trace PJ Single Barrel #15 "Waves"

Out of all 24 barrels that day, this was hands down my favorite barrel. I'm not really sure what else to say. It is easily in my top 5 'Trace distillery barrels I have selected in the past 5 years. This uncomplicatedly delicious bourbon is simple. It simply one of the most sleeper barrels of Buffalo Trace I have ever tasted. I'm not sure what happened, but sometime over the last 2-3 years the barrels of Buffalo Trace we were getting completely surpassed the barrels of Eagle Rare's in terms of their sure like-ability. If you don't like this you don't like bourbon.

Rather than give you all the typical tasting note blabber, I'll keep it simple with a short poem I came up while thinking about whiskey and the ocean.
