Walter Hansel 'The Meadows' Vineyard Chardonnay

$29.99

This is a new vineyard designated offering from 100% Hanzell Selection grown in a low land Meadow contiguous to the Santa Rosa Creek. It is dry farmed each year and requires extensive shoot and crop thinning each year due to the extreme fertile conditions. The result is the most fruit forward, with underlining tropical flavors, then any of Walter Hansel Chardonnays.

"The Meadows Vineyard comes from the lowest section of the ranch, approximately five acres of dry-farmed vineyard land with more alluvial soils, A ripe yellow color, with aromas of ginger, honeyed citrus, baked pear, and oak spice, it’s full-bodied, toasty, and ripe on the palate, with notes of almond through the finish. It closes with a ripe feel and has a good finish, with notes of toasty oak spice lasting on the back palate." - Jeb Dunnuck
