CaiÃ±o Tinto, CastaÃ±al, and SousÃ³n planted in 2008 from 4 plots totaling less than 1 hectare and located 900 meters from the MiÃ±o river and 5 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean in southwest Galicia, just above Portugal. South facing with poor sandy-clay soils on decomposed schist and small gravel in ideal plots for the maturation of reds.

Although not pitch black, it's still quite dark and opaque. ItÂ Â has a very intense nose like concentrated violets with an earthy, oaky touch. Stewed plum and raisin notes with spicy, herbaceous fruit tones are pronounced on the palate, with bold tannin structure and moderate acidity. Very complex with an extremely long finish.

Winemaking:Â Spontaneous fermentation, 10 months in new French oak barrels of 228L (31%) and stainless steel tank (69%). A blend of CaÃÃ±o Tinto, CastaÃ±al and SousÃ³n

Do I need to show ID?: Yes. Every delivery and pickup needs someone 21 or older with a valid ID.
Where do you ship wine?: Within California and to these states: AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MN, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OK, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY. Someone 21 or older has to sign for it, so send it somewhere a grown-up will be home.
How long will it take?: Orders usually leave the shop within 1–3 business days. In very hot or freezing weather we may hold a shipment a few days rather than cook your wine.
Can I pick it up instead?: Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and pick Fillmore or Noe Valley. We'll email you when it's ready. Bring an ID.
What do I do when it arrives?: Store corked bottles on their side somewhere cool and dark. If it traveled, give it a day or two before opening; wine gets a little rattled in transit too.
Do you discount mixed cases?: Mix any 12 bottles of still wine and save 10% at checkout. Champagne and sparkling aren't included.
