Siduri Pinot Noir 375ml
Siduri was founded in 1994 by husband and wife team Adam and Dianna Lee. In an article a couple years ago, Wine Spectator had this to say about Siduri: “In a relatively short order, the Lees' Siduri label has become a beacon for California Pinot Noir. Since debuting with the 1994 vintage, Siduri has earned outstanding ratings (90 to 94 points on the Wine Spectator 100-point scale) on more than 40 percent of its wines. With a modest, 8,000-case annual production, the winery can make upwards of 25 separate Pinot Noirs in a given vintage, many in lots as small as 300 cases."
And just a couple months ago, Antonio Galloni of Vinous Media said “It has been about a year since Siduri was acquired by Jackson Family Wines. Aside from some refocusing on the lineup and a new tasting room in Healdsburg for the public, I don't see too many changes here. As always, the Siduri Pinots are plush, fruit forward and easy to drink upon release.” Adam Lee is staying on for now as winemaker, and the winery will function as it has, but will have access to the many K-J vineyards – and without the added effort of sourcing their own grapes, this should allow Adam to focus his skills more tightly on producing great wines.
