Silica rounds out Château Pesquié’s three single-vineyard offerings by showcasing the elegance of Grenache and Cinsault when grown on pure sand. Situated at an elevation of 300m above sea level, this 65-year-old vineyard demonstrates the lively character of Grenache in a sandy terroir, which is quite tasty on its own, but enlivened by the floral aromatics so typical of Cinsault.

"A luxury cuvée from a single sandy site, the 2022 Ventoux Silica is 90% Grenache and 10% Cinsault, mostly fermented and aged in demi-muids. Explosive aromas of black cherries, stone fruit and dried spices burst forth on the nose, while the palate is full-bodied, broad and expansive but silky and crisp at the same time, with a long finish and a restrained touch of mocha. Where do you ship wine?: Within California and to these states: AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MN, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OK, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY. Someone 21 or older has to sign for it, so send it somewhere a grown-up will be home.
How long will it take?: Orders usually leave the shop within 1–3 business days. In very hot or freezing weather we may hold a shipment a few days rather than cook your wine.
Can I pick it up instead?: Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and pick Fillmore or Noe Valley. We'll email you when it's ready. Bring an ID.
What do I do when it arrives?: Store corked bottles on their side somewhere cool and dark. If it traveled, give it a day or two before opening; wine gets a little rattled in transit too.
Do you discount mixed cases?: Mix any 12 bottles of still wine and save 10% at checkout. Champagne and sparkling aren't included.
