The Small Batch Bourbon Collection®—comprised of Knob Creek®, Booker’s®, Basil Hayden’s® and Baker’s®—is a group of ultra-premium bourbon whiskies handcrafted in limited quantities from unique recipes, some dating back two centuries. They are carefully matured for exceptional quality.
Named after Baker Beam, grandnephew of the legendary Jim Beam, Baker’s® Bourbon honors the family’s long history and love for distilling.
Baker’s Bourbon is distilled at a lower proof and barreled & aged in small batches, allowing the bourbon to pull more toasted nut, fruit & vanilla flavor from the barrel wood. Today, Baker’s is still made using this very technique & is aged only in our most select rackhouses for a robust bourbon flavor with a silky, smooth finish.
This vintage has a very pure, elegant nose. The attack is clear, and the wine progressively gets bigger, reaching a very sophisticated balance between the magnificent quality of the tannins, substance, tension and freshness. There is 50% Cabernet Franc in the blend, which elevates the elegance of the wine’s tannic structure and makes the finish complex and long.
"Effectively half-and-half Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this is a tremendous wine. With very fine tannins, spice from a touch of wood and swathes of ripe fruits give this wine its concentration and its huge potential. The wine has weight and a dark, dense structure that will allow it to age for many years. Drink from 2027. Cellar Selection"- Wine Spectator

The estate is within the urban area of Bordeaux, an oasis of green in the busy city. It is a smooth, rich wine that has benefited from the consultancy work of the late Denis Dubourdieu. Ripe tannins and fine acidity support the black currant and plum fruits. The wine is developing well. Drink from 2020.
Compass Box & Juveniles share a similar approach to good food and drink, seeking out integrity and not taking things too seriously. Both our businesses are obsessed with quality and provenance. Both like to do things in their own way.
These common traits have made Compass Box and Juveniles good friends since the very first meeting between Tim and John years ago. We have collaborated with Tim on Juveniles whiskies several times.
For this Limited Edition,Tim asked us to create something “...bright, smooth, not smoky...an assemblage perhaps between 12 and 15 years-old...”. We’ve tried to give him all that an much more. This assemblage (we love Tim’s use of this wine word to describe whisky blending) comprises single malt whiskies from four distilleries, each bringing a distinctiveness to the whole.
You’ll find notes of barley sugar, pear drop and vanilla, complemented by an ethereal underlying herbal character. It’s a whisky to be enjoyed with great food and even better company.
The dark, rich core of the 2015 Continuum has aromas of cacao, black currant, cardamom and savory wild herb. On the palate it is layered and supple, revealing black cherry and roast espresso notes intertwined with mountain minerals and a hint of tangy orange spice. The wine is lush with ripe chocolaty tannins that lead to a long, expressive finish. 2015, though small in volume, is amighty vintage for Continuum; one to savor today or age and appreciate for decades to come.
Blend: 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Cabernet Franc, 17% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot.

2008 was dominated by grey, overcast skies – an exception in a decade characterized by bold, generous sunshine. Just when the harvest was getting underway, the weather conditions were finally perfect: blue skies and prolonged north-northeasterly winds. The grapes were riper than anyone dared hope, and had truly outstanding balance. The vines were in perfect health.
To the bracing acidity, concision and aromatic purity expected of the 2008 vintage, Dom Pérignon adds depth, density and complexity. The light is warmer and less harsh.

This cask collaboration used barrels that previously held High West Yippie Kayee whiskey. Generously aromatic with cinnamon roll, coffee and pumpkin spice. The up front palate has some soy, coffee, and cocoa nib on a light oily texture. Mid palate gets more savory, with the barrel influence coming through giving it a soft long finish.
Max Rudsten and Ben Flajnik, two local guys with a passion for the peculiar, formed their friendship over a shot of fernet. Prior to this fateful toast, they each had explored their infatuation with complex elixirs. Max had spent tireless days in his backyard experimenting with his own concoctions, constantly macerating, infusing, and barrel-aging different local plants and herbs, exhaustively cataloging the results in hopes of creating the first local, San Francisco fernet. Meanwhile, on an amaro quest of his own, Ben traveled to the most remote corners of the globe, immersing himself in the methods and techniques practiced by some of most renowned international distilleries.
Their connection sparked the emergence of Fernet Francisco - The first locally crafted, Bay Area fernet.
In each batch of Fernet Francisco, we distill 12 hand-picked herbs with a holy wisp of fresh fog. The purest. The surest. The spirit of San Francisco.
The younger (VSOP) brandies from Germain-Robin have wonderful Californian fruit overtones. The basic wines are Colombard and Chenin Blanc, with Gamay Beaujolais and Pinot Noir. Other varietals are used for complexity and balance. Pure and flavorful.
