Napa Valley sparkling wine producer Schramsberg Vineyards, owned and operated by the Davies family, announced the appointment of Jessica Koga to the position of Winemaker. Previously, Jessica was the Associate Winemaker at Davies Vineyards, home of the Davies family’s red wines, since 2015. With her extensive experience and expertise, Koga’s promotion is a step forward for her and the winery.

“It’s truly been a pleasure to work with the Davies family for the better part of two decades, and to grow and advance in my career with such an exceptional team,” said Koga. “I’m looking forward to concentrating all of my efforts on crafting our renowned sparkling wines.”

Jessica will have many of the same decision-making responsibilities in her new role with Schramsberg, but will now be focused on Schramsberg’s famous collection of sparkling wines. She will manage 350+ base wines through the winemaking process from harvest to bottle, including primary fermentation, racking, fining, malolactic fermentation, and filtering to ensure the utmost quality. She will report to Director of Winemaking Sean Thompson.
