Winemaker Birgit's vineyards are balanced between the warm winds of the Lake Neusiedl and cool breezes of the Leithaberg mountains. Her soils are a complex balance of juxtaposing minerals & simply bursting with flora and fauna. From a certified organic and biodynamic plot on the sunny southeast facing slopes of the Leitha Mountains. From these beautiful shell-y limestone soils, the blau’s tannins are RIPE & a quick 18 day maceration gives a striking colour while maintaining freshness. Dark red, black cherry, bilberry cola, blueberry, pepper grass, charcoal, mushroom circle, gravel crunch & sweet spice. Pair with a nice hunk of meat or spicy tomato pastas.
