Our Tasting Notes: For those looking for an everyday Bourgogne rouge, this charming wine from the Willamette Valley in Oregon is an excellent substitute.  A light medium ruby with a perfumed earthy nose of mushroom, potting soil, pomegranate, raspberry jam, and dark cherry.  Bright acidity with medium fine grained and flavors of bright raspberry, peony, dark cherry, and strawberry preserves with a finish of bright fresh fruit and minerality.  The wine develops very nicely with some air, and if you can squirrel away a bottle or two for a year or two this will reward your patience.
