Straw yellow with delicate green notes. Floral (broom, chamomile and white flowers), delicate and persistent. Savory, harmonious, fine, with good persistence and intensity. Pairs well with grilled delicate fish served with salmoriglio (oil, lemon, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper).
Garnacha Tintorera is known for its deep, inky color, and for coating theglass on the swirl. A rich and approachable wine with aromas of black fruit and berry, licorice, and espresso. A supple, balanced finish with hints of white pepper to complement the fruit.
Blend: 70% Garnacha Tintorera, 30% Monastrell
"The fruit-driven and easy-to-drink 2019 Laya was produced with Garnacha Tintorera, or Alicante Bouschet, grapes blended with 30% Monastrell from an unusually wet year with torrential rains during the harvest. It fermented in stainless steel vats with neutral yeasts, with malolactic in barrel, where the wine matured for four months. It's very dark, almost opaque, expressive and open. This comes from younger vines yet is structured and seamless, quite complete. It feels like a very good vintage for Garnacha Tintorera in the zone. The palate is round, somehow creamy, and the tannins are ripe and juicy. 360,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2020. Rating : 90+" -Wine Advocate

The 2015 Patriota was a similar blend of Malbec from the Valle de Uco (Vista Flores) and Bonarda from Ribadavia matured in oak barrels for some ten months. There is no astringency or herbal notes in this blend, and the Malbec is nicely complemented by the slightly rustic character of the Bonarda.
An elegant, original and inimitable personality. Rich in red fruit mixed with notes of licorice typical of the variety. Great harmony with anything from traditional pesto to charcuterie to cherry pie.
"Bright medium red. Pungently perfumed nose offers violet, lavender, Szechuan pepper, lemongrass, blood orange and small red berries. Then juicy and very fresh flavors similar to the aromas, plus a building licorice nose, linger impressively on the medium-bodied mouthfeel. Closes with magical, persistent inner-mouth perfume and truly exceptional clarity and cut. This sees no oak whatsoever and therefore the wine's magical perfume is really allowed to shine through. A real knockout of a wine and easily one of the two or three best Perricones I have ever tried." 95 Points Vinous
