This exceptional cuvée was created in 1964 as a tribute to the House’s founder. It results from the blending of Grands Crus from the classified Côte des Blancs vineyards (Chardonnay) and the Montagne de Reims (Pinot Noir).

There is a balanced tension controlled by the blossoming of the wine (seeded and stone fruit, citrus fruit, warm madeleines) and embodied by the line of noble resinous flavours (spruce and juniper berries from Houlle).

Fine malted notes associated with orchard fruit (white peach, nectarine, Lorraine plum) refined by the purity of the complex mandarin zest aromas.

Where do you ship wine?: Within California and to these states: AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MN, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OK, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY. Someone 21 or older has to sign for it, so send it somewhere a grown-up will be home.
How long will it take?: Orders usually leave the shop within 1–3 business days. In very hot or freezing weather we may hold a shipment a few days rather than cook your wine.
Can I pick it up instead?: Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and pick Fillmore or Noe Valley. We'll email you when it's ready. Bring an ID.
What do I do when it arrives?: Store corked bottles on their side somewhere cool and dark. If it traveled, give it a day or two before opening; wine gets a little rattled in transit too.
Do you discount mixed cases?: Mix any 12 bottles of still wine and save 10% at checkout. Champagne and sparkling aren't included.
