Poderi Aldo Conterno Langhe
Sweet, juicy red berries dance with spice, sun-warmed earth, tar, spice, and crushed flower petals in this supple, delicious round wine. A blend of 80% old-vine Freisa, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot, this Langhe Rosso may lack Piemonte’s all-star grape, Nebbiolo, but it shares the balance and approachability of its sibling wines. Plump, textured and charming, this Langhe Rosso, which has replaced the estate's famed Quartetto, is an incredible bottle of everyday red. Conterno harvests the grapes from vineyards in Bussia, then vinifies the wine in temperature-controlled stainless steel, and ages it in barriques for about a year before bottling.
