Merkelbach "Urgluck" Urziger Wurzgarten Riesling Spatlese 2017
An estate of just 1.1 hectares, the holdings in Urziger Würzgarten are on original rootstock. “Urgluck” is a great parcel within the Urziger Würzgarten vineyard which gets its name from the fact that even in bad vintages this vineyard gets perfectly ripe —needless to say these are very small production wines. This wine is done traditionally with spontaneous fermentation in traditional Mosel Fuder.
"Offers aromas of quince and honey, with the quince note continuing on the palate and combining with nervy citrus accents. Very suave and smooth, showing enough acidity for balance and dense flavors that carry through the finish. Drink now through 2031. 90 cases imported." 92 Points
