Daniel Rion "Mosaic" Cotes de Nuits Villages
Cherry blossom and clean, bright red fruit on the nose, backed up with hints of black tar, chocolate and licorice. On the palate, the texture is positively chewy and rich, with notes of cherry and fresh strawberries firm tannins. It finishes completely dry lean and meaty. For the money it's stunning. It's drinking fantastically now (especially with an hour's decanting), but I'm going to keep some around to see what happens in 5-7 years.
