Dagueneau Pur Sang 2016

Didier Dagueneau produces some of the finest Sauvignon Blancs in the region. Using bio-dynamic farming, low yields and oak barrel fermentation, this superstar single vineyard wine has a wonderful balance of citrus fruit, crisp acidity and oak.

 Pur Sang wine takes from a plot called “La Folie”, located in Saint-Laurent-l’Abbaye. Facing directly south, the vines were planted in 1989. The soil, silex clay (silex is a stone), is composed from small polished silex which came from glaciers The structure of this soil provides great drainage and produces fine and elegant wines with a big persistence. Potential of aging around 10 to 15 years.
