Ayunta Nerrello Mascalese Bianco


Organic. 100% Nerello Mascalese. Very unusual still white from Nerello Mascalese – to honor the local tradition to make white as a base for metodo classico wines. The vines are 50-100 year-old on Etna’s volcanic soils. Soft pressing followed by spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel and aged in cement tank for 7 months. 500 cs produced.

Light in alcohol with 12% ABV, it is super fresh and mineral in the nose with flint and graphite notes, very crispy on the palate with some notes of grapefruit and small red fruits with the typical salty and mineral feeling of the Etna volcanic soil in a quite unusually long aftertaste turning into almost an umami flavor.
