Dry Creek "The Mariner" Meritage Red Blend
In 1972, when David Stare opened the doors to Dry Creek Vineyard, it was the first new winery to be built in the Valley since Prohibition. Dry Creek created the first Sonoma Fume Blanc, originated the Dry Creek Valley AVA, and was an early advocate for Bordeaux-style blending. Today, Dry Creek Vineyard is committed to vineyard diversity, vinifying individual lots of fruit separately, and then blending carefully for each final cuvee.
The grapes for this delicious Bordeaux-inspired blend come from several estate and hillside vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley. At first swirl, the wine displays aromas of blueberry, vanilla and cherries. Several more minutes reveal hints of clove, cinnamon, black licorice and mocha characters. The palate has dark berry flavors along with cedar sweetness and cassis. There's a good balance between juicy dark fruit and oak structure. The tannins are soft and supple with a very round and slightly oily texture. It finishes with black pepper, boysenberry and a hint of barrel spice. Good acidity will help this wine to age beautifully for years to come, plus makes it a great food wine.

Dry Creek Sauvignon Blanc
This delicious wine incorporates small amounts of Sauvignon Musque and Sauvignon Gris which add a layer of depth and a fleshy, full-bodied mouthfeel. At first swirl, this wine presents aromas of pineapple, ripe pear, and some floral notes. On the palate, flavors of Meyer lemons, tangerines and mineral notes come through with a slightly creamy, but lively finish. Stainless steel fermentation was supplemented with small amounts of chestnut, acacia and French oak barrels adding additional character and nuance to this delicious wine. The Farmstead Pinot Noir is sourced from 2 small growers in the Anderson Valley, located just a stone's throw from our estate vineyard. The small crop, coupled with early ripening Dijon clones, produced richly flavored fruit that displays the fruit intensity and perfume of Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. The wine is pale ruby and garnet in appearance and has aromas of fresh red and black cherry, earthy strawberry, subtle cardamom, clove and cedar box. The palate has zippy red berry fruit in the entry, and a supple, perfumed and velvety mid palate with nuances of baking spices. The acid structure of the wine gives it life, length and versatility in food pairing - from grilled fish to roast duck.

The 2017 Gaja Barbaresco is a garnet color in appearance. A generous and flowery nose with intense notes of rose, licorice and blood orange. It is showing intense red and black fruit driven by aromas of strawberry, sour black cherry and mulberry. The palate is fleshy, loaded with the same fruity notes raising from the glass. The fine-grained tannins balance the acidity and lead to a wine with a considerable volume on the palate. The finish is lingering and elegantly sweet.
