Guttarolo Primitivo Anfora 2016

100% Primitivo. From the oldest of Guttarolo's vines, up to about 25 years now, Guyot-trained on clay-limestone soils and farmed organically and biodynamically with yields kept low. Harvest is by hand in multiple passes. The wine is fermented in tank with natural yeasts and zero sulfur and aged in 500-liter clay amphorae sealed with wax for a year; it is bottled without fining, filtration or sulfur. Production is extremely limited. This is the most concentrated and complex of the Guttarolo bottlings.
